DeVlog

- The development process overall

We started with a storyboard and researching simple ways to integrate 2-D images into our game. Next, we made a simple game framework and played with different sprites we had made together for the game.

- Design docs, development images, notes

- Playtesting feedback

We got feedback that we should try to make the game a confusing experience and maximise the usage of our illustrations to produce the desired effect

A postmortem devlog that includes 4 sections

- Successes (What went right)

Our sprites turned out to be sensitive and expressive, evocative of confusion.

- Failures (What went wrong)

The music did not sync properly and attach as we desired it to. We also failed to create enough of a long game experience

- Lessons Learned (What did you learn from your failures or how did you overcome them)

We learnt that we should split our four backgrounds into four different scenes instead of two scenes with confusing flashing backgrounds.

- Future Development (If you were to continue working on this game how would you improve it)

We would add music to the game, increase the levels of the game and perhaps add more sprites and interactions. We might add sound effects of languages that are triggered by sprites.
